Date: March 23 – 25, 2006 Venue: Berlin, Heinrich Böll Foundation
In the wake of the tragic bombings in Madrid, London and New Delhi and ethnically tinged riots in France and Australia, these issues have taken on added urgency, and the need for international collaboration in a search for solutions has become more important than ever. The internationa conference will provide a unique international forum for discussion of issues pertaining to security and to the movement of people across borders.
The conference focuses on aspects of the topic that are most pertinent to Europe, while drawing on the experiences of other regions. Participants will include scholars, representatives of government and the private sector, security experts, policy makers, immigration experts and activists.
